    Based on our research people consider range, safety and durability as the most important ones. Men tend to prefer more speed and women more safety. Size of the wheel, weight, stability, easy-folding, riding comfort, acceleration, charging time are also in the list. For the last mile use case lightness and foldability are the key (models Lite, Svan and Joyride), whereas for long distance and dirt road travellers, wheel size, range, suspension and speed matter (Storm, F3 Max).

    The weight limit is set to respect the scooter’s mechanical and electronic capacity. For lighter scooters (Lite) the limit is set at 80kg. For Svan 100kg and for Joyride 120kg. For power scooters the limit can may be up to 130kg – to be check on each scooter. The users need to understand the performance and durability of the scooter are significantly impacted by higher load even within the allowed limits.

    GPad scooters are not waterproof. They are IP54 (please further check each model separately). This means dust does not damage the electronics inside. The scooter can stand vertically falling drops of water for a limited period of time (like 10-15 minutes).
    Washing with water or water jets are not allowed. Light rain that does not make the scooter soaking wet should be ok for GPad scooters. Riding through pools of water or when the pavement is flooded with rainwater, is not ok.
    After-sales are always checking the water damage stickers inside. Water damage voids the warranty.

    Absolutely! Every scooter owner should take care of his or her scooter. Depending on the riding style and other circumstances the need to fix loose screws and other loose items may be as soon as after first 50 or 100kms. The same for tire pressure. Brakes, wheels, folding mechanism and handle-bar need attention after every 200-300 kms. Pre-ride checks of brakes, lights and the integrity of the body are strongly recommended. Small maintenance in the right time can save from many problems. If DIY maintenance is not an option, after-sales partners are happy to help.

    Yes, why not. There are however a few differences like the weight, height of the deck and the motor(s) inside the wheel. The smaller and lighter the electric scooter is, the more similar it is to use it as a regular kick-scooter. Big heavy-weight ones with high platform and 2 powerful motors are quite a challenge. From our experience, Svan and Joyride are quite easy to maneuver as kick-scooters.

    Most scooters have detailed information on this included in the user manual. Speed settings are usually under some special button on the display and options 1-2-3 can be selected. For most models there are “P”-settings that can be accessed and adjusted from the display. For example cruise control, kick-start or zero-start, acceleration curve and electronic braking intensity, also regen levels.

    Every scooter has charger included. Depending on the battery capacity, the charging takes from 3 to 14 hours. It is easy to estimate the full charging time by dividing the battery size in Ampere hours to charger output Ampere.
    It is strongly recommended by GPad not to leave scooter charging unattended. The scooter is electric device and there may be problems with the battery due to the past using habits or any other problem. Charging occurs when the indicator light on charger is red, and is finished when the light is green. Always replace the cap on the charger plug.

    Like any other electric device, please keep it in the dry place away from sun, fire, liquids and explosives at room temperature or lower, but still above 10 degrees. When leaving scooter for a longer time, make sure the battery is 50-70% full. Recharge if necessary in every 2-3 months.
